General Information

Q: What is the school’s calendar?

A: LSM runs September through May. See our Calendar for more information.

Q: What does a typical week look like?

A: LSM meets Monday and Tuesday from 9:30am-4pm and includes Sunday services, monthly community outreach and a monthly church wide team event.

Q: Where is LSM located?

A: Nashville, Tennessee

Q: Does LSM accept international students?

A: We welcome anyone who wishes to apply; however, Legacy School of Ministry cannot extend a visa to any students at this time.

Q: Is LSM accredited?

A: If a student graduates LSM, they are eligible to receive up to 30 semester hours/45 quarter credit undergraduate hours and 12 semester/18 quarter credit graduate level credits towards a degree program at Faith International University.

Q: Is there a second year program?

A: Yes! Once a student graduates from LSM1 they are eligible to apply for LSM2, a practicum style year. Learn More.

Q: Does LSM have an online option?

A: No, LSM is exclusively an in-person program.

Q: Is housing provided?

A: No, LSM does not provide housing, but once accepted, we can connect you with other students looking for roommates.

Finances

Q: How much does tuition cost?

A: Tuition for the 2023-2024 School Year is $3,000 USD.

Q: What does tuition cover?

A: Tuition covers all classes, books, and the Fall Retreat. It does not cover living expenses or school-related travel.

Q: Can I fundraise for my tuition?

A: Yes. Each student will have a unique contribution link for friends and family to sow into your tuition. Donations are not tax deductible.

Q: Can I work while attending LSM?

A: Yes; however, you must prioritize your school schedule in this season and will not excuse absences or tardiness for work.

Q: Do you provide financial aid?

A: Legacy School of Ministry does not currently offer any scholarships or financial aid for students at this time. We are excited for the day when we are able to set up a scholarship fund to equip even more world changers! Q: If I get accepted, but then decide not to come, can my application fee and deposit be forwarded to next year?

A: Application fees and deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable. 

ADMISSIONS

Q: When is the Application deadline?

A: Please see dates on our Calendar

Q: Do you have a program that starts in the spring?

A: No, all students start in the fall and we do not allow for spring starts.

Q: If I get accepted but decide not to come, can my application be deferred to next year?

A: Your application cannot be deferred to another school year. You must reapply.

FAMILY

Q: Is there a discount for families?

A: Yes. The Family Discount applies a $250 credit to each immediate family member attending LSM. For example: a spouse, father, mother, child, brother, sister, or grandparent. You will need to email contact@legacyschoolofminstry.org request the discount.

 

Q:Do you provide childcare?

A: No, LSM does not provide childcare. There are Children’s ministries during church services on Sunday.

 

Q:Do you have a K-8 school associated with Legacy?

A:Yes. Legacy Academy is a K-8 private Christian school. Learn More.

 

Q: Do you allow children into LSM?

A: Children 16 years or younger are not allowed to attend or visit sessions.
